The record was broken a month later when an 83.2-meter tree was found in Zayu County. This year in May, the record has been refreshed again, as the giant cypress measuring 102.3 meters was discovered in Bome County in Tibet Autonomous Region. Apple pollination using Toko Ironworks' drone

Toko Ironworks (Odate City, Akita Prefecture) has begun marketing apple pollination work using flying robots (drones) to fruit farmers. Apple trees are tall and bear a large number of fruit, making pollination work hard work. The drone will make the work easier and shorten the working hours. A demonstration experiment is being conducted in collaboration with Aomori Prefectural Nagui Agricultural High School, and Yoaki Torigata, director of the company, says, "We are on the verge of solving the main problem," and plans to market the system, including rental. In the demonstration experiment so far, a fruiting rate of 40-50% was obtained when the drone was used. A solution of pollen mixed with distilled water, sugar, and safflower pigment is placed in a tank, and a drone is flown near the flowers to spray them. The Sanmon Gate of Chion-in Temple

The Sanmon Gate of Chion-in Temple is viewed from the southwest. The tall pine trees south of the gate are slanted due to the wind, and pine logs are scattered about underneath. This is the largest gate of its kind in Japan, with five bays and three entrances. A leisure boat on the Sumida River

Like photographs #2665 and #4543, this was taken at the bank of Imado River in front of Yumei-ro at the mouth of Sanya-bori. Ushijima Shinto Shrine, also called Ushi-no-Gozen (presently located at Mukojima 1-chome, downstream) and Choumeiji Temple are amid the tall trees at the rear. The person leaning on the handrail in the centre may be Uchida Kuichi. If so, this photograph was probably taken by his apprentice. Five-tiered pagoda at Toji Temple
